BRYN TERFEL'S FAENOL FESTIVAL 2008

FRIDAY 22 AUGUST
Boyzone

Opening this year’s festival is one of the world’s most successful boy bands ever, Boyzone. Having split in 2000, the five boys from Ireland are reforming this year for a limited tour and we are delighted that they will be opening this year's Festival. Destined to be one of the live music events of the year, this performance will see all five original members – Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy perform some of their best loved songs.

SATURDAY 23 AUGUST
Opera Gala with Bryn Terfel, Diana Damrau and Johan Botha accompanied by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera
conducted by Gareth Jones

Bryn welcomes an outstanding cast for an enchanting night at the opera to include the beautiful young international rising star, Diana Damrau and the acclaimed South African tenor Johan Botha.

‘Leading man, cult hero, debonair judge and show stopping singer’ are just a few of John Barrowman’s attributes! The star of Torchwood is joined by Bryn Terfel, Daniel Boys plus
a guest appearance from the winner of Nancy on the BBC TV competition I’d Do Anything
and other guests directed by Matt Brind.
