Rhys sang most of the leading romantic tenor roles whilst on principal contract at English National Opera. Further afield he has sung Rodolfo for Frankfurt Opera, West Australia Opera and Opera Australia,and Faust at the Hong Kong Festival. Rhys is now concentrating on the Lyric tenor repertoire. His duet album with Bryn Terfel “Benedictus” was nominated for a Classical Brit Award in 2006. |
